I’ve spent 20+ years working across video production, graphic design, and digital media. I was part of the early machinima movement — building story and atmosphere within limited systems. That experience continues to shape how I approach pacing, tone, and worldbuilding.

I’ve always had some form of creative project driving my time and energy. Previously, that meant editing cinematic content like montages and music videos using trending copyrighted tracks. It worked, but it came with limitations — copyright strikes, muted audio, and a constant reliance on material I didn’t control. That friction pushed me to look for a different approach.

PROCESS//PIPELINE PRTL .. FLOW771//ITER LOOP

I build each track from a concept first, drawing from fantasy worlds, narrative ideas, and thematic structures shaped by my background in visual storytelling and digital media. From there, I move into a traditional songwriting process. I write the lyrics myself, exploring story, perspective, and emotion while pulling from worlds, experiences, and abstract concepts. The goal is not just a song, but a scene, a moment, or a world the track will support.

From there, I move into rapid iteration. AI-assisted tools allow me to explore variations in genre, tone, and structure at a speed that wouldn’t be possible through traditional methods alone. I loop through multiple passes, guiding style, testing directions, and refining the identity of the track until something cohesive begins to form.

Once a concept stabilizes, I export the stems and bring everything into a DAW. This is where the hands-on work takes over. I restructure arrangements, shape transitions, apply effects, and refine the mix and master. My background is in mixed digital media, not traditional music production, so this stage is also a continuous learning process.

Each track starts as a concept, but only becomes complete when it’s translated into a cinematic
experience.

I restructure arrangements, shape transitions, apply effects, and refine the mix and master. My background is in mixed digital media, not traditional music production, so this stage is also a continuous learning process.

After a track is finalized, it moves into the visual phase. I bring it into Premiere and build a cinematic edit around it, pulling from games, film, anime, or original concepts depending on the track. The music is created with this step in mind, and the full intent comes together through the video.

The videos are shared across social platforms, while the tracks are distributed to streaming services.

When a track resonates strongly, it moves into a different stage. Projects like Rampant are rebuilt from the ground up as fully human-produced studio versions. I work with producers and vocalists to translate the original concept into a traditional production, maintaining the core identity while elevating the execution.

Not every track follows this path. There’s a real cost to developing these studio versions, so the process is guided by audience response and performance. The goal is to create a sustainable loop, where successful releases fund deeper, higher-quality iterations and allow the project to continue evolving.

AI sits at the center of this process, and that comes with real tradeoffs. It’s not for everyone, and it has disrupted industries, including ones I’ve worked in. I’ve chosen to adapt to it as a tool to augment my skills rather than replace them.

That same approach carries into this project. AI helps accelerate exploration and bring ideas into a tangible form, but the direction, refinement, and final intent remain human-driven. I understand those who choose not to support work involving AI. For those interested in where this leads, especially the fully human-produced studio versions, those milestones are where the process comes full circle.

It worked, but it came with limitations, copyright strikes, muted audio, and a constant reliance on material I didn’t control. That friction pushed me to look for a different approach.

The rise of AI-assisted tools opened a new path. I could begin generating original music that I could guide, adapt, and fully control, allowing the visuals and audio to evolve together instead of being constrained by external content. I didn’t set out to become an artist. The goal was control, to shape tone, storytelling, and theme at a deeper level, and that process naturally led into building music as part of the system.

Veilr is a creative framework for exploring and constructing worlds. Music is a core component, but not the end product. Each project moves through a hybrid process, rapid iteration followed by hands-on refinement in a DAW and video timeline, resulting in cinematic pieces where audio and visual intent are tightly aligned.

This is an ongoing process of experimentation and growth. I’m developing my music production skills while continuing to push my work in editing, storytelling, and worldbuilding. The goal is to build immersive experiences that evolve over time.
